TEAM GRANTS: The ABC has three grant cycles per school year (one per sports season), during which we consider financial aid requests from the teams active during that season. Year-round sports may apply once per year. Team Grants are designed to help solve fundraising shortfalls for teams that are trying to remove specific barriers to play. Additional consideration may be given to teams that actively participate in the ABC’s community-building efforts (such as membership, newsletter, &/or volunteering for ABC events). ABC TABLECLOTH LOANER PROGRAM: We have 11 (60”x 102”) rectangular black and 20 (90”) round black tablecloths available for teams to use for events (preferably in-building) such as sports banquets. We ask that you reserve at least a week in advance. Tablecloths are due back to the Beaver Gear closet (washed and folded into the box they came in) within a week of borrowing. Note that the gear closet is not accessible on weekends or after 4 pm on school days, so be sure to plan ahead for weekend events. FUNDRAISING IDEAS: The ABC does not fundraise for individual teams, but it does maintain the team donation pages on this site and can work with you to make a custom direct donation webpage for your team. We do not charge any sort of service fee other than asking you to cover credit card processing. Moreover, the ABC can provide communication support for your fundraising efforts by promoting your fundraisers through the ABC Newsletter and on our Instagram and Facebook accounts. Feel free to reach out to our Parent Representative Coordinator, the Communications Coordinator at bhsabcnewsletter@gmail.com, or any member of our board to get the conversation started.
BHS SPORTS PHOTO UPLOADS: Are you out there on the sidelines taking pictures of Ballard athletes and coaches in action, or do you know someone who shows up at every game with a camera in hand? The ABC is always looking for great photos of our BHS Athletics community to share on the front page of our website, in the Ballard Athletics News, in our Instagram feed, and at athletics awards celebrations. BALLARD HIGH SCHOOL FOUNDATION: The Ballard High School Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization with a mission to support the students, faculty, and administration of Ballard High School. The Foundation supports Ballard Athletics through the annual Ballard High School Golf Classic and the Running of the Beavers. There are often team fundraising opportunities available as part of these events; interested teams should contact the Foundation directly.
